Alberta invited 33 Express Entry candidates in latest PNP draw
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) recently released the details of the provincial nominee program draw held on 20th Feb, 2024.
In Alberta’s seventh draw in 2024, a total of 33 Express Entry candidates were invited to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.
Invited Candidates needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 311 in order to receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) from Alberta. CRS score increased by 9 points compared to last draw held on 6th February.

The Alberta Express Entry Stream allows the AAIP to select eligible candidates with a profile in the Federal Express Entry System, which manages the pool of candidates for Canadian immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program and Canadian Experience Class.
Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination from Alberta will receive an additional 600 points toward their overall CRS score, which effectively guarantees that they will receive an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a subsequent federal Express Entry draw.
Main advantage of the Alberta Express Entry Stream is that it provides Express Entry candidates who have lower CRS scores, can obtain Canadian permanent residence.
